Test Results
Your medical record is confidential. Test results will not be given over the telephone by reception or nursing staff. Discussions of test results are conducted in a follow-up appointment with your GP or specialist. Please allow at least 2 working days for results to be processed. It is your responsibility to make an appointment to discuss any test results.
Communication with Doctors
For comprehensive care, face-to-face consultations are generally preferred. For non-urgent issues, please make an appointment. In urgent situations, provide reception with a clear, concise explanation for the doctor. We do not provide ‘consultations’ or diagnoses over the phone. Phone messages or emails will be read and replied to on the same business working day by administration staff, as directed by the medical team.
Patient Responsibilities
As a patient, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete personal and health information.
- Follow advice and treatment plans from our professionals.

- Treat staff and other patients with respect.
- Comply with clinic policies.
- Notify reception immediately if you believe you may be infectious (e.g., rashes, coughs, flu symptoms, vomiting, diarrhoea) for safety.
Privacy and Confidentiality
Your medical records are private and confidential, accessible only to authorised staff. All information is managed in strict accordance with the National Privacy Principles of the Privacy Act (www.privacy.gov.au/health/). Recall and Reminder System
Our practice uses a recall and reminder system for proactive health management, including reminders for skin checks, women’s health screenings, and immunisations. We comply with legislative requirements, which may involve sending de-identified or specific information to government authorities such as:

- National Bowel Cancer Register
Our practice has an automated SMS reminder system for upcoming and recalled appointments. If you do not wish to be part of this system, please advise your doctor.
Interpreting Services
We are registered with the Telephone Interpreter Service (TIS). Please advise reception when booking if an interpreter is required.
Home Visits
Patients are encouraged to attend the clinic for optimal care. Home visits are at the doctor’s discretion, generally for patients genuinely unable to attend due to medical reasons within the local area. Discuss arrangements with your doctor.
Repeat Scripts & Referrals
All requests for repeat prescriptions and referrals require an appointment with your doctor. Our doctors adhere to strict guidelines and will contact the Dependency Unit before prescribing Schedule 8 Drugs.
Feedback and Complaints
We welcome your feedback to continually improve our services. Feedback forms are available at reception. Complaints are to be addressed to the Practice Manager. Unresolved matters may be referred to the Health Care Complaints Commission (HCCC) in New South Wales:
